Just want to say sorry that I forgot to take a pic of it's front door(had to rush to meeting after dinner). The back door is behind those motorbikes.
This place is a more like a home-style Chinese food place in HongKong. You can order individual dishes, or bowl noodle. Tonight, I had to rush to meeting after dinner, so, I ordered more "instant' style food.
Food for tonight:
"Baby Bak Choi" in soup
Beef and preserved egg with "golden" oyster in rice soup
Another view of the rice soup:
This is rice in soup, not congee or rice porridge. Basically, you put cooked rice in a fish/pork based soup and eat it. Congee or rice porridge is something when you cook rice for a long time, and you cannot see the shape of rice anymore.
This is a simple dish, with preserved duck ege (the black one, century egg ) and a golden oyster. Cooked with ground beef and soup together. You may wonder what does those black egg taste like. I can tell you that the texture is like a cooked egg. The eggyolk is a bit like half-boiled egg, with the smooth texture. The taste? not much actually. It is a bit sweet with wasabi favor.
The golden oyster, you need to pay extra HKD10 for it. Basically, it is a dried cooked oyster. So, it give you a very strong smell and oyster taste.
With everything together with parsley and the soup, just made the dish taste refreshing and delicious. And you can drink everything with the soup ( if you want to!)
The Bak Choi , you may find a bigger version of it in a USA grocery store. But they are not as soft as the small one.
