This is not one of those restaurants that foreigners would go. The restaurant is located in a public estate of Hong Kong. And it is not in a tourist area, so, you would rarely see foreigners in there.
This place can be considered as "Cha Chan Tan" (Cantonese diner), and most of the local HongKongers go there for daily meals because of cheap price (quality ... depends on which one you are going to). So, if your hotel does not offer you free breakfast, you can go to a "Cha Chan Tan" nearby and try it out. The price should be much cheap than your paid hotel breakfast
Went there for a breakfast. This is the first time I went there, because I always see many people waiting outside during meal hours. So, why not give a try. Lucky, I did not need to wait for a seat for breakfast today.

I ordered a breakfast set for this morning:

Beef with rice noodle in soup

Cheese and ham omelette

Mile Tea

The beef rice noodle is ok...The beef was too a bit chewy, so you need to eat it very slowly... which is not what I like. There were about 5 -6 pieces of beef, and only 1 is soft enough for you finishing it at one time. Rice noodle was a bit over cooked, I like it if it was a bit harder. The soup... for sure it has some MSG in there :P

Omelette - Under my expectation. There are not many places in HongKong that serve cheese omelette. This one, after I have eaten a quarter, there was no more cheese!!! :( . The egg was a bit hard and thick. I like the omelette with a thin layer of egg and more stuff within. The egg of this omelette did not have much taste of egg .

Mike tea - Mile tea is what foreigners should try when they come to HongKong. This one was OK, not too sweet, but need more tea favor.

Overall: Cannot complain too much for a HKD 22 breakfast, most other similar places usually cost around HKD24-29. But would pay for extra 2-3 bucks if there is a better quality place. I guess I wasn't too enjoyed in Enjoyment for this morning :P.

  1. There are several restaurants up there in the Tai Yau Estate "Food Court". Which one you tried? I heard that one call 疊疊不休 making nice breakfast, always you have to queue up during the weekend and holiday.
